Go to http://AppleID.apple.com. Find the “Manage your Apple ID” button, just below it will say “Change preferences, edit privacy settings, and keep your details current.” If you arrow down again you’ll find a link “Reset your password”. Activate the link and on the next page enter your Apple Id email, then click “Next”. I believe you now can choose how you want to reset your password, one choice would be to provide the answers to the security questions you selected and there might be an option to do it via a trusted device. I am not totally sure since I use the 2-step verification method and if you do this it will ask you for your recovery key which is provided when you set up 2-step verification and which you have to ensure you write down and keep it in a safe place.
