Hello, I can answer a couple of these. Yes, it is easy to pair. When you first get the speaker, it is in pairing mode. The speaker will suggest you download the app, but for straight up listening, the app isn’t needed.
The lowest price I have seen on Amazon is $179. I’ve seen lower, but you’d pay for shipping. I believe Altimate Ears website sells refurbished models for $145.
