Hi, I did not find speech on the Roku which is why I trashed it. There was limited speech on the iPhone app but not for navigation just for adding and deleting channels or apps depending on what Roku chooses to call it. And settings such as changing its name on your network etc. However, navigation through the remote was not useful with the iPhone app using voice Over unless something has change and their customer support was pretty useless.
