Richard, this may not be the most elegant solution. It is a speaker meant for bicycle use. It is about the size of those salt/pepper shakers you might see in fast-casual restaurants, usually plastic; cylinders about 2 inches across and 3-4 inches tall. It comes with rubber skins of different colors and mounting brackets you can either place around the strap of a shoulder bag near your ear or even on the handle of your cane. I have tried this around the house, but not in real-world mobility. It did not seem it would throw the balance off the cane too much.
The speaker is Bluetooth and has auxiliary input, plus a slot for a micro SD card (not really applicable to your use). The volume is probably as good as you are going to get in any speaker of this size. The Amazon price was $29. One client carried the BeatBox in her purse and that worked fine, but unless we ask our male clients to start carrying purses, the BeatBox might be a little challenging to carry around. Any suggestions? Thanks, Richard Reality is the leading cause of stress for those who are in touch with it.
