I have a Jambox mini and I love it. It's not the cheapest but the quality
is there.

I had, and lost, a small Jambox, and have a Bose Mini Soundlink mostly for
my wife. I want to be able to play spoken word and music out loud for
myself, and also sometimes play music to a group of perhaps as many as
twenty people. I am no audiophile, but the Bose for this latter purpose
does not project the highs as much as I would like for people to hear the
lyrics. I did like the Jambox.
So what would you recommend I buy from among the dizzying array of choices?
