Hi I am using Ios 8.1.1 on a 4S, and am trying to understand the location services and tracking. There are 2 options, always on, meaning it can run even in the background, and then the "never" option. Now my question: if you choose the "never" option, and you use an app that needs to use the location services, will it ask for permission to use location services, or will one be presented with the dialog where you need to go into settings, privacy, and so on, to enable location services for the particular app. I would have thought that there might be an third option, saying something like "when needed" making it possible for the app to get the necessary permission to use location services. Am I missing something here, or will apps ask for permission and then, when you close the app, will location services be switched off again for that app?
