Hi Christopher and Liz, Your explanation, Christopher, is correct. However, you forgot to mention that in iOS 8 quite often you can't move or delete apps in the last row above the dock. If you double tap and hold on one of these apps and nothing happens, you can double tap and hold another app further up on the screen. If all you want to do is delete the app in the last row, then once you are in editing/moving mode, you can double tap on the app in the last row which you want to delete and it will prompt you to confirm. You can, however, still not move these apps if double tap and hold doesn't result in starting editing mode.

Double tap and hold on any app in the appropriate home screen or folder. Once you hear the tones and the message that you're moving the app you double tapped and held on, lift your finger and double tap on the app you want to delete. Confirm the deletion and your done. Hit the home button to get out of the mode where you're editing your home screen or folder. On 12/30/2014 01:21 PM, Lizand Sammie wrote: > I just updated my iPhone 4S to 8.12, and so far so good.
