One way you can do it is to go to the Accessibility settings under General
settings and hit on the rotor. You can add sounds so that when you are in
any app you can turn the rotor to sounds and then swipe to turn them on or
off. You'll want to then turn the rotor to something else like words or
characters so that you are not continually accidentally turning them on and
off, if that makes sense to you at this point! Your old friend, Deidre

Subject: turning off sounds but not VO

Hi all,

I have a I phone 5s and 8.1 ios. Question: how do I turn off the sounds but
not VO? I am getting a little annoyed with all the clicks and such with
swiping, choosing, etc. Can't seem to find the option in settings or
keyboard settings. Help?
