You probably will continue to download less than satisfactory apps. I downloaded about 6 of them and never could rely on any of them. There is nothing like a stand alone device. A stand alone device sits directly on the material to check with a seal all around so that colours are not distorted. I don’t know how a cell phone app could do that unless you could put the camera directly on the material to be checked. With the smart phone, too much depends on the ambient lighting. Up until now, very disappointing.
