Unlocking it won’t make a difference if you continue to use ith with AT&T, but
as you said, if you do unlock it and down the road want to sell it then it’s
done and a lot easier to get rid of.

Subject: To Unlock or Not?

I have my iPhone 5 service with AT&T and in early February my original 2-year
contract period will expire. I've gotten the website where I can unlock the
phone at that time but I'm wondering if I should if I intend to stay with AT&T.
I know an unlocked phone should be easier to sell but I don't want to change
how it functions if I continue to use it unlocked with AT&T.

Can someone more learned in these matters please comment?

Thanks in advance.
