Hi, I think Jen is referring to the initial setup where you can transfer information like your Apple ID and WIFI password to the TV from your phone by touching the two devices. I did this just before Christmas because our unit wasn't booting for some reason and had to be restored. I wasn't aware that this was possible even though I've helped set up a few Apple TV's in my time so I can only assume that it's part of a fairly recent software update; personally I think it's a really handy feature. @Jen, I think you can only do this when you first setup the device but I could be wrong. It's definitely not something you can do every time you need to enter information.
