Hi folks:
I've noticed during the last couple of weeks that our libvirt related
patch queue was becoming gargantuan, so I had to step in to help
cleaning it. I've took some days to help with processing the patches
(read them, edit broken patches, rebase, run the tests, fix small issues
and push to next). It was exausting.
I'm down to a few patches that I can't:
1) Get them applied to next without significant gymnastics
2) Test them with my Fedora 19 laptop
I am kindly requesting the authors (Yanbing Du, Yu Mingfei and Li Yang)
to rebase their work and sent it as a pull request to virt-tests.
Now, here comes an important part:
libvirt test maintenance - I won't be one of the maintainers of the
libvirt patches, simply because I don't have the bandwidth to do so, and
for a long time, the maintainers have been Chris and Yu. I may help
eventually, but the responsibility to process and apply all patches is
from the libvirt test maintainers. By moving things to github pull
requests maintainers from both Red Hat *and* other companies can see
what is going on.
So dust off your patches and prepare us pull requests. I'm marking all
of those in our internal patchwork instance as 'superseded', and Chris
and Yu are waiting for your new pull requests.
