So the time has come and the minimal guest OS used by default in virt-test was updated. Now the image is based of Fedora 20, and tested well in the basic test sets we use as a reference.

Virt Test Master was already updated, and update should be as easy as running:

./run -t qemu --bootstrap

The novelty here is that I pushed to the tree a replacement to a quick and dirty shell script I was using to sparsify and package the JeOS image for upload. So now if you want to create your own JeOS package, you can use

tools/package_jeos.py path/to/your/img.qcow2

That will sparsify the qcow2 image and create a 7zip image useful for usage in virt-test.

Let us know if you have any problems through the Mailing List, or through github issues.

Cheers,

Lucas
