CRS OF AUTOMATIC EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION (AEOI)

Clear Understanding of the Intricacies of the OECD Common Reporting Standard

14 – 15 August 2017 in Singapore

Dear Leader,

OECD’s Common Reporting Standard (CRS) of Automatic Exchange of Information is
a step closer to becoming a reality in Dubai. The CRS is a single global
standard for automatic exchange of information in tax matters, obliging
financial institutions to collect financial account information on account
holders who are tax resident in another CRS partner jurisdiction, and to report
this information to the financial institution’s local tax authorities.

Workshop Overview:

A key aspect for making tax administrations ready for the challenges of the
21st century is equipping them with the necessary legal, administrative and IT
tools for verifying compliance of their taxpayers. Against that background, the
enhanced co-operation between tax authorities through AEOI is crucial in
bringing national tax administration in line with the globalised economy.
