+1 vote for this. The situation with me is the same , the only difference is 
all my servers are ubuntu, but i doubt netcf will find it's way into deb/ubuntu 
too soon.

That would be a great addition. I run all my VM with manual bridge on CentOS 
5.4 (so no support for netcf), and this would allow me to configure everything 
without having to virsh edit my guest just to change the interface from network 
to bridge.
