vhostmd provides a "metrics communication channel" between a host and its hosted
virtual machines, allowing limited introspection of host resource usage from
within virtual machines.
It's been nearly 7 years since Rich Jones bumped the version to 0.5, so it is
time for a new 1.0 release! I tagged git and created a github release. New in
version 1.0:
- virtio as a transport mechanism
- updated to work with modern Xen
- SIGPIPE handler and reconnect to libvirtd
- systemd service file
- modernize build files
- misc bug fixes and improvements
