To be more specific: this is inaccurate as far as I can tell because:

1-other VNC viewers (including TurboVNC's Java viewer) do provide a "view only"
option in their menu that can be changed dynamically
2-my patch does make the user able to change this dynamically and it works

Why do I want it? I find it extremely useful for technical support - most of
the time I only want to watch what the user is doing while we're talking on the
phone, but sometimes taking control is necessary. I do this with the Java
viewer because it can change the "view only" flag at runtime, but I'd rather do
it with the native viewer.

Hope this clarifies.
