The latest pre-release build of TurboVNC
(http://virtualgl.sourceforge.net/vnc.nightly/) re-packages the new Java
TurboVNC Viewer as the sole viewer on Mac, since extensive tests
revealed that its performance exceeds the X11 Viewer on that platform
(due to performance limitations in XQuartz, primarily) and the usability
and feature set of the Java viewer are far superior. The new viewer is
still installed via a PackageMaker package, just like the 1.1 viewer
was. The package creates a script under /opt/TurboVNC/bin/vncviewer,
for backward compatibility, and this script launches the Java app that
is installed under /Applications/TurboVNC. The viewer can also be
launched directly by simply opening the app under
/Applications/TurboVNC. A sym link to the documentation is provided
under /Applications/TurboVNC, as it was previously.

Please let me know if any problems are discovered with this.
