Try the latest 2.5.x pre-release build at
https://virtualgl.org/DeveloperInfo/PreReleases. It fixes the segfault
caused by the interaction issue between VGL's overly liberal
implementation of glXGetVisualFromFBConfig() and VTK's overly stupid
visual matching algorithm, which at least allows Mayavi2 to start.
However, I still can't find a way around the subsequent shader errors,
which seem to be an interaction issue between VTK and the nVidia
drivers. But if you're lucky enough to not be encountering those errors
on your platform, then hopefully this should allow Mayavi2 to work properly.
