I use vglrun +wm to launch my desktop environment, i3, to allow all apps that are used to enjoy VGL acceleration. This work well and I am satisfied with the results.
However each time I execute a sudo command in the envoronment I get the following errors: ERROR: ld.so: object 'libdlfaker.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (cannot open shared object file): ignored. ERROR: ld.so: object 'libvglfaker.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (cannot open shared object file): ignored. The actual command runs fine. I suspect that this is a) innocuous and b) by design as per the docs at https://virtualgl.org/vgldoc/2_2/#hd0012 However it is also quite irritating! Are there any known workarounds (aside from the setguid one from the above link) to hide this message? Perhaps a clever sudo alias that might hide this output? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "VirtualGL User Discussion/Support" group.
