Hello.
I would like to buy cheaply graphics card that does no put video output
and use it remotely with Virtual GL (Motherboard has integrated graphics
for local video output).

What test could I use to test if card actually works in 3D if not
displaying video output?

Something like booting from USB flash disk or CD and performing tests
and signaling how they were going, to recognize that video hardware is
actually working even if it does not put video signal out.

This might be interesting project (making specific Linux or other
platform based .iso and USB flash boot image) because that way seller of
the graphics card can verify graphics hardware is working for VitualGL
needs and that way make sure for buyer that he can work with it with
VirtualGL when he gets it.
Also saving cheap broken cards that actually work for VirtualGL (and
would not be used for displaying video eather, even if it does work)
could have impact of recycling them instead of throwing away and that is
not only financial but also ecological. :)

Any idea of making test like that and how it could be done?
Basically this could be looked at making Linux(or other) VirtualGL Live
CD or USB project afterwards.

What do you think of it?

Thanks,
Nikola M.
