If its for a cluster, a long term choice may be Nvidia Tesla. Id like to get
my hands on a Tesla M2070Q

I dont think they are as beefy as Quaddro's but have all the necessary
features for remote desktop 3D as well as general purposing (GPGPU-ing).
The hardware will be ready for when server software matures in features such
as graphics virtualisation.
