Dear list, dear Darrell, You've helped us already out with a bugfix for version 1.0.80 a while ago.
The graphics issues are all resolved since then, however: It seems that the problem with our keyboards reappeared - we think it might be since the last Ubuntu update some days or weeks ago. We've again installed an Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS from scratch (32bit i686, kernel is now 2.6.32-39-generic) on a ZBOX HD-ID11 and then only installed turbovnc_1.0.80.i386.deb, build 20111130 with gdebi packet manager. The tvnc server resides on a RHEL 6.1 machine, version is v1.0.80 64-bit (build 20111130) and serves three instances of Xvnc for 3 different users on 3 terminals. The error is the same as the last time we've encountered this, when in fullscreen mode: Not reprodictibly, that is 4 or 6 time times over some hours, the keyboard looses its contact to the tvnc instance. All mouse data is transferred nicely but keyboard signals do not get through so we are not able to use F8 anymore and thus can not leave Turbovnc without crashing it nor can we type anything. We have a vanilla USB keyboard and are still able to toggle the shift LED on the keyboard, NumLock etc.. Mouse is USB as well. There is no PS/2 on our box. To corner the bug, we've even turned off all the screensavers and energy saving options (sleep modes..). The problem persists. Could you please tell us where to look and / or where we could turn on some logging? We think that Ubuntu might have grabbed the keyboard control and as the Ubuntu desktop is covered by the fullscreen tvnc window it is not able to communicate something. By the way: It would be perfect if you could supply one way to gain control back by using only the mouse: A certain combination of mouseclicks on the left upper corner maybe? We could then at least close tvncviewer, open again and continue working.. Thanks in advance! Andreas
