Hello,

I'm trying to get VirtualGL 2.3.1 to work with VirtualBox 4.1.20. I followed
the manual's instructions - make the faker libs setuid root, start the VM with
the two commandlines suggested.

The VirtualGL setup works, my user has no problem using VirtualGL for regular
applications, but VirtualBox complains that "the 3D support of the host is not
working properly".

Is that a known problem in any way? Should I use a specific version of
VirtualBox?

If not, what steps can I take to solve the issue?

Below is some information:

$ vglrun glxinfo | grep vendor
server glx vendor string: VirtualGL
client glx vendor string: VirtualGL
OpenGL vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation

$ cat /proc/driver/nvidia/version

NVRM version: NVIDIA UNIX x86_64 Kernel Module 304.43 Sun Aug 19 20:14:03 PDT
2012 GCC version: gcc version 4.4.6 20120305 (Red Hat 4.4.6-4) (GCC)

$ vglrun /opt/VirtualGL/bin/glxspheres64
Polygons in scene: 62464
Visual ID of window: 0x21
Context is Direct
OpenGL Renderer: Tesla S2050/PCIe/SSE2
143.212077 frames/sec - 159.824678 Mpixels/s

So the general setup is working...

$ ls -lh /usr/lib64/lib{dl,rr}faker.so
-rwsr-xr-x. 1 root root 5.7K Jun 12 08:02 /usr/lib64/libdlfaker.so
-rwsr-xr-x. 1 root root 921K Jun 12 08:02 /usr/lib64/librrfaker.so

$ vglrun +v VirtualBox -startvm DemoWin32
[VGL] NOTICE: Replacing dlopen("/lib64/libdl.so.2") with dlopen("libdlfaker.so")

[VGL] VirtualGL v2.3.1 64-bit (Build 20120612)
[VGL] Opening local display :0

and then I get the dreaded error message from vbox.

Help appreciated. Thanks
