The server is Unix only. We don't provide a Windows server. Please refer to the
user's guide for usage of the Unix server.

TurboVNC is largely a companion product for VirtualGL, and thus we support the
platforms and functionality that are needed to provide an end-to-end multi-user
remote 3D solution. It is not possible to build a multi-user remote 3D solution
using a Windows VNC server (because WinVNC is a screen scraping solution, not a
virtual desktop solution), and thus our solution for serving up Windows 3D
apps remotely is to run Windows in VirtualBox, then run VBox in VirtualGL, then
run VGL in TurboVNC. All of this is done on a Linux server.

If you are using Windows XP and need a Windows VNC server, you can use the
TigerVNC Server for Windows, although it has a lot of known issues and no
active developers at the moment. UltraVNC is also a very good solution that is
actively developed and supports Windows 7, although it won't be quite as fast
as TigerVNC. Both of these solutions will work with the TurboVNC viewer.
TightVNC 2.x is actually my favorite WinVNC implementation in terms of features
and stability, but unfortunately it's almost unusably slow.
