In my testing, I also discovered (and was not at all surprised by the 
fact) that TurboVNC doesn't work with the version of Gnome shipped with 
F20.  Even the "classic" mode seems to require the X Composite 
extension.  I'm not sure what RHEL 7 is doing in that department, but 
this might jump up and bite us in the butt sooner rather than later. 
Minimally, I'm going to need to implement the Composite extension in 
TVNC and maybe some other stuff like XKEYBOARD to keep things running 
smoothly with the Red Hat family.  If anyone is interested in sponsoring 
that, please let me know.  Using Xfce remains a viable workaround.
