Hi Erick,
It is possible but not advisable is the general consensus.
One specific note I have come across is that the virtuoso.lck file
which gets created in the DB startup folder by default cannot exist
on an NFS partition due to file locking issues, although their is an
ini file setting to force this to be created in another location ie
non-NFS partition, see the "LockFile" param at:
http://docs.openlinksw.com/virtuoso/dbadm.html#ini_Database
Hope this helps ...
Best Regards

Hi,
is it possible/advisable to do striping over a partition that is
mounted via NFS? (The disk where virtuoso (5.0.3) is running is
almost
full...)
thanks,
Erick
