This may be purely cosmetic in your email, but on the off-chance that
you copied-and-pasted directly from /sparql interface, I did notice
a couple minor differences between your two <bif:contains> clauses --

    ?lit  <bif:contains> """'foobar’""" .

    ?lit  <bif:contains> """’smertelindring’""" .

Note the single-quote marks used to wrap the search terms -- ' vs ’.

I would not expect either clause to trigger a crash, but I would
also not expect your results to be as desired, once sub:literals
are present in the data.
