Hello all -

I am looking for help evaluating Virtuoso and RDF(S) more generally for data
integration purposes in the life sciences and pharmaceutical space. We are out
of bandwidth to do evaluation this internally, and I haven't been able to find
a "Virtuoso consultants directory" or anything of that sort, so several
colleagues suggested I post to this list to see whether anyone might be
interested in helping out.

Our project is solidly grounded in the types of data integration tasks
described by the HCLS group (http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/hcls/), and we've been
drawn to Virtuoso largely based on the successes reported to that community by
Alan Ruttenberg and others. We would like to test out a set of specific use
cases based on real-world industry needs from our market (pharma / biotech,
drug discovery R&D), with a particular focus on a large infectious disease
project we are working on. Generally speaking, we are focused on the data
integration use cases (i.e. answer integrated biology, chemistry and drug
queries across local and distributed datasets in various formats, presumably
via SPARQL endpoints and/or appropriate RDFization of the data).

We have some funding for this effort and would prefer to work with someone
local (we are in the Bay Area), however we are primarily looking for someone
with experience in both Virtuoso and the life sciences space. We need someone
who can do a hands on implementation, not an evangelist. And if there is a
different forum or jobs board where Virtuoso hackers tend to spend their time,
I'd be very interested in that as well - I haven't found a lot of hits on
Monster.com etc.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Ramon
