Hello,
I am installing Virtuoso and I think I got the ODBC connection right, but I am having trouble getting the http://localhost:8890/conductor link to work with Apache. It just gives me a file not found.
I am using Ubuntu and I downloaded the binary to make the install.

Does the URL above work in your browser modulo anything you are doing with Apache?

At Virtuoso startup you should see on which ports it listens for HTTP connections. Command for foreground mode: virtuoso -c virtuoso -f .

You set the HTTP listen port via the INI of your Virtuoso DB instance .
I guess my VAD (Virtuoso Application Contribution) is off.

I can imply that the Virtuoso Application Distro (VAD) package for the Conductor may not have been installed. Your VADs should be in ~virtuoso/vad, assuming ~virtuoso is your $VIRTUOSO_HOME value.

During the installation (I am installing a large software stack) I had to make many .ini files so I am not sure what is the path of the virtuoso.ini is the one that is important that I have to get configured correctly.
If anyone could point me in the right direction, that would be great.

INI file and a .db should (at least typically when you initially start using Virtuoso as a first timer) be in the same directory.

Alex
