Hi Peter, I've followed the steps from http://www.openlinksw.com/dataspace/%20dav/wiki/Main/VirtSPARQLProtectSQLDigestAuthentication and the authentication worked for my new created user ( with name: "rnew" )
Could please give us more info what server version you are using, and what are the properties for your user (user type, account roles, etc.) probably a screenshot will be best here. However on trying to log onto the SPARQL Endpoint the login prompt appears but it will not authenticate. The only user that is able to reach the SPARQL Endpoint is the default dba user. Does anyone have any further experience with this?
