Those settings for the NumberOfBuffers and MaxDirtyBuffers are the recommended 
settings for a 2GB machine as detailed in the Virtuoso performance tuning guide

Note also the use of the “swappiness” parameter on Linux systems which can be 
used to control the amount of swapping and improve performance as detailed at:
