Hi 

You need to first set the VIRTUOSO_HOME environment variable to point to the 
location of the Virtuoso installation such that it knows where to locate file 
and directories etc. This step was missing from this part of the documentation 
probably during a reshuffle of the document when the ODBC Driver was registered 
first and this step was included, so it has been added it to both sections so 
either way it gets set:
