Thanks Hugh! Are there any more isntructions for #3 and #4 on upgrading from 7.x to 7.x? I installed virutuso from a debian package originally. What is involved with installing the newer binary components? Can I simply just reinstall virtuoso atop of my current installation from the dev/7 branch repo?
Do you or anyone else have a link for setting the environment to point to the new instance? Is this changed in the virtuoso.ini? 3. Start a fresh terminal session, and install the newer v7.x binary components, either atop or after removing the older v7.x binary components 4. Set the environment with the new Virtuoso 7.x script, and start the instance with the new Virtuoso 7.x binary. ------------------------------------------------------- +1.850.266.7100(office) +1.850.471.1300 (mobile) jhaag75 (skype) http://jasonhaag.com (Web) http://twitter.com/mobilejson (Twitter) http://linkedin.com/in/jasonhaag (LinkedIn) On Sat, Oct 3, 2015 at 12:05 PM, Hugh Williams <hwilli...@openlinksw.com> wrote: > Hi Jason, > > If you originally built from git develop/7 branch then you would simply > update it , or if you were on the stable/7 branch then you would need to > switch or if you build or obtained from some other source you would have a > clone a git repo, all of which are detailed at: > > http://virtuoso.openlinksw.com/dataspace/doc/dav/wiki/Main/VOSGitUsage > > Details on upgrading a 7.x build can be found at: > > > http://virtuoso.openlinksw.com/dataspace/doc/dav/wiki/Main/UpgradingToVOS610#Upgrading%20from%20Release%207.x%20to%20a%20newer%20Release%207.x > > Best Regards > Hugh Williams > Professional Services > OpenLink Software, Inc. // http://www.openlinksw.com/ > Weblog -- http://www.openlinksw.com/blogs/ > LinkedIn -- http://www.linkedin.com/company/openlink-software/ > Twitter -- http://twitter.com/OpenLink > Google+ -- http://plus.google.com/100570109519069333827/ > Facebook -- http://www.facebook.com/OpenLinkSoftware > Universal Data Access, Integration, and Management Technology Providers > > On 3 Oct 2015, at 15:24, Haag, Jason <jhaa...@gmail.com> wrote: > > Hi Hugh, > > Are there any special instructions for upgrading / updating my > installation to the dev 7 branch?
