How where you removing the graph group ?

I would expect you to have used the “DB.DBA.RDF_GRAPH_GROUP_DEL()” function to 
remove graphs from the graph group and then “DB.DBA.RDF_GRAPH_GROUP_DROP()” to 
delete the graph group itself as detailed at:
