Though I haven't installed a snapshot the classical way (make install) yet, I wonder whether there's a make unistall routine included... That's my biggest fear in going the hard (make) way. I might not be the brightest under the sun when it comes to Linux, but I guess that due to the frequent changes in visdn development a nicely running re-roll-routine would help a lot to keep the system mostly organized. And since the device-file(s) and visdn.conf have to be edited manually anyway those files wouldn't be affected by re-rolling at all.
