Hello, As some of you may have noticed, the echo canceler has been integrated for a while. I committed some change which made it slightly more reliable, so I'm asking you to do some test and report back your experience.
The echo canceler may be activated and deactivated during a call, by writing respectively 1 and 0 into /sys/devices/visdn-system/X/ec_state where X is the EC instance ID. This is the best I could do with the echo canceler coming from zaptel which, unfortunately, has very, VERY, poor performances. I'm looking for some alternative algorithm but the only Right Solution(TM) will be to run a good canceler in real time on a hardware DSP.
