No, German numbers don't have a fixed length.
01234 - 1234 is a valid Number, as
01234 - 1234567
0987 - 123456

but T302 = x solves the problem. (bristuff for example uses also a shorter 
timeout for overlap dial, ~ 4s)

(I tried change T302 with a patch 55x, but all i got in show visdn interfaces 
was "T302 = 12 (*)" )

BTW: My Dect/ISDN phone (DeTeWe Beetel 440i) always uses overlap to dial, even 
if you type the digits first and then execute the dial)
