Hooks are nice, however I commit from several machines (5 or so) and I would need to setup each of them, plus, sometimes I commit from machines without internet connection. E-mail notifications should be sent by a single box running "baz update" (or something like that) regularly and checking if something new appeared. I also need that functionality to setup a buildbot.
