Hello,

I’m new in installing * and visdn.

First I installed the version 0.14. I have had no problem to start the driver/modules with visdn_configurator.

But I would like to install a newer Version of Asterisk so I have downloaded a newer snapshot.

While compiling and installation I have had no problems. There are also the new modules in /lib/modules/kernel-version/…

I’m trying to start the modules of visdn with visdn_configurator. All modules can be load fine (without a message in the logs), but only the router-control does not appear in the device-tree.

linux:~ # visdn_configurator

Waiting for device file /dev/visdn/router-control to appear.............timeout (ensure udev is configured correctly)

I’m running a Kernel Version 2.6.11 and the latest build of visdn from yesterday 11.04.

So what can I do?

Tell us which version of udev you have... If your udev is too old, it
will not work with the standard config files included. If so, try the
'oldudev' files instead...

Good luck!
