I did a bit more research the last few days, and found the following: 1. 618 => 619 only triggers the oops-bug earlier, i.e. when another isdn device communicates with the NT, with the visdn box on the same line as TE device. 2. 616 => 617 oopses with incomming calls for the visdn box, even without asterisk running. Hope this helps in narrowing down the problem.
