Hi list,
this is my first posting, and, of course, it's because I've I problem I can't
solve aon my own.
After two nights trying and 'googling' without any success, I hope someone from
the list can
give me the needed hints.
Now to the problem:
I tried to install visdn-devel-20060918.tar.bz2 on FC5, kernel
2.6.15-1.2054_FC5smp.
After some modifications based on postings in this list, I get it compiled and
installed.
Cause my hfc-based Draytek miniVigor128 ( I removed the case, to verify, that
it is really hfc-based) is found as usb-1-1, I copied the sample
device-usb-2-2 to /etc/visdn/device-usb-1-1.
Starting visdn_configurator shows me
D: 000001
E: 000002
Port object st0 not found
At first I thought of a netdev-problem, but ip link shows me the visdn2 device
It seems, that all modules are load, but I miss a lot of entries in the
/sys/bus/... section.
Also the usb-led at the adapter won't turn on.
To verify, that it isn't a general visdn-problem, I installed a pci-hfc-card.
This card runs without problem.
A short test with asterisk, gives no errors or warnings.
Here is what ip link shows:
4: visdn0: <UP> mtu 65536 qdisc pfifo_fast qlen 10
link/[8445] 00 brd 00
5: visdn2: <> mtu 0 qdisc noop qlen 10
link/[8445] 00 brd 00
visdn0: pci
visdn2: usb
Do the usb-adapter need some kind of firmware?
Any help would be appreciated
Regards
Peter
