Approximately 8 months ago a new feature was added into visdn (kstreamer) and the codebase was rewritten (partially, atleast). Since then, visdn is called vstuff. Mostly its been stripped down to: vstuff = visdn + kstreamer. Although actually: vstuff = visdn + vgsm + kstreamer. visdn has Support for most HFC PCI Cards, USB is broken. vstuff has Support for HFC-E1 and HFC-2S/4S/8S and GSM PCI cards (upto quad). HFC-PCI-A is to be rewritten for vstuff, nobody has taken up this part until now, although this is probably the most valuable Feature for most Users. The downside is, that writing a driver is not trivial although HFC Docs are openly available on the colognechip Website. So, we (the Users) are seeking someone who is a) brave enough to take up the task and b) has the necessary understanding to dig through the code. FWIW i dont think deep knowledge in HFC is necessary in the first place, since the old codebase is a good draft and the HFC docs are open for everyone. regards, -- http://www.ukeer.de/about.html "There are two ways to write error-free programs; only the third one works." --Alan J.
