Hi DH54,

In most cases, yes you can, but the approved way is to use the Import
Existing Repository in VisualSVN Manager, as the repository formats
can vary a bit between versions of SVN. Right click on Repositories in
the tree view, click All Tasks, then click Import Existing Repository
and browse for the existing repository folder.
