When importing repositories, a message is (incorrectly?) displayed saying that only alpha, numeric, dashes and underscores are accepted.
I have numerous repositories that include dots in the file names. Furthermore, if you import the directory using an underscore and then manually go to the filesystem and switch it back to a dot, it seems to work fine. So, why do we have the limitation of no dots in the import name?
