Hi, thanks for replying. No special characters are used (only upper and lower case letters with digits). I use English (UK) regional settings on the Windows host.
I have investigated further and discovered that if the password is longer than 8 characters it cannot authenticate. If it is shorter it can. We are using svn version 1.6.3 (r38063) on hpux. I intend to test further from a linux server and a cygwin installation.
