Tfs is great as an 'entire package'; if you are actually going to use its work item tracking; application life cycle management; then yes it is a good integrated fit - but as a source control system it is less than average, over complicated and will cause you to question your sanity as you deal with the way it just does stuff.
I use TFS at work; and Subversion (Well Subversion Edge : http://www.open.collab.net/go/csvne2_r2a/) + YouTrack + TeamCity : guess which one I prefer. if you are hellbent on TFS then i would suggest you take a serious look at Microsoft's TFS Cloud offering (http://tfspreview.com/); that way you don't have to manage the enormous amount of kit you *will* require to be set-up.
