Hello,

You can't get rid of "/svn/" part in the URL in the current version of
VisualSVN Server. It's reserved for repositories collection
list which you can view with a web browser and TortoiseSVN client.
This is a known issue and we consider solving it in future VisualSVN
Server releases. I can't provide you with any ETA, though.

Indeed, you can setup a reverse-proxy to workaround the issue. I.e.
configure a reverse-proxy in front of VisualSVN Server to rewrite URLs
to repositories. I regret that I can't provide you with a step-by-step
instruction on this matter, though.

It's strongly discouraged to modify %VISUALSVN_SERVER%conf\httpd.conf
file. This file is rewritten on each upgrade and configuration change
you do via VisualSVN Server Manager console so your modifications will
be lost.
