Hi,

I have been using SVN for quiet a while now and have the need for multi
site replication which you now support.
The problem (which I eventually discovered) is that the VDFS does not
support file locking. You get an error on trying to lock a file but have no
idea why it doesn't lock. The only mention of the issue was when I created
a new regular format repo (which allowed locking) and then went to upgrade
to the VDFS format, where a popup confirmation indicated that file locking
is not supported. If you create a new repo and select VDFS there is no
mention of this. I spent hours trying to work out what setting I stuffed
up. Grrrr.

Anyway, will this be added any time soon as this will dictate how we
proceed? Note, we are dealing with binary files using the
lock-modify-unlock model (pure file versioning for engineering, not code
versioning).

Thanks,
Jacek
