Well, I also needed to include "windows-1252" in vm-mime-default-charsets for Windows. At some point, I changed it to t thinking it wouldn't hurt. That was a mistake. It seems like a good idea to disallow t as a possible setting for this variable. We should also mention that "utf-8" should not be included here because it needs MIME decoding.
